How much do you charge for your services?

Absolutely nothing.  Your cost is the same as if you booked your trip yourself.   Actually, your cost may just be less!  We'll save you money whenever we can, but more than that, we'll save you time and frustration too!  Let us worry about calling and waiting on hold to check for better offers....you've got more important things to do!  (back to top)

 

Why should I use a travel agent?

The biggest benefit is that we take over all the little details of searching for the best deals for you.  Disney Travel Agents are generally aware of specials or discounted rates before the general public so we are prepared in advance when we need to make changes to save you money.  We'll save you the time, frustration and long distance charges of calling Disney every day to ask if new codes or specials have been released.  You won't have to scan message boards several times a day waiting for notification of specials.  Know that when you book with us, we will be on constant alert for any offer that may save you money.

 

Another big advantage is that if something were to go wrong on your vacation, you have someone you can contact to help make things right.  We will work behind the scenes making any necessary phone calls to help rectify the situation. (back to top)

 

What makes Magical Memories Travel different from other agencies?

Here at Magical Memories Travel, all of our agents are Disney Specialists*.  They are all graduates of the  Disney College of Disney Knowledge but truth be told, their families and friends considered them to be Disney gurus long before they even enrolled in the College of Knowledge!  More than that, our specialists are professional travel agents.  Yes, we are Disney enthusiasts and that is what has brought us together but we are all committed to saving you money.  As an agency we are proud to be "EarMarked" by Disney as an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  We will treat your vacation planning with the same attention to detail as their own vacations.  Because we are a smaller specialist agency, we have the time to go over each client's individual travel plans when new discount codes are released.  We will run the numbers and see if you can benefit from the code even if it was not what you were originally considering doing.  We don't just look for AP rates for our customers who are already AP holders, we search through our customers to figure out who should consider an annual pass to reduce the overall cost for their vacation.  Just consider us your vacation Fairy Godmothers!  (back to top)

Will you book my air for me as well?

We will be happy to help you find the lowest cost air option as well!  We recommend that you keep an eye out for specials as well as you may be located in a different area from your agent and may hear of specials for that area before he or she does but we will be glad to do the same!  There is no service fee charged for booking your air arrangements for you.  (back to top)


Are there risks to booking with a travel agent?  If you go out of business, will I lose my money and my trip?

Absolutely not!  Any payments that you make will be made not to us, but directly to the travel supplier.  If you give us a credit card number, your card will not be charged by Magical Memories Travel, it will be charged directly by your supplier ( Walt Disney Travel Company, Carnival Cruise Line, Sandals Resort etc.).  We have no plans to go anywhere, anytime soon but rest assured that if we did, your trip will be safe as we will not be holding any of your funds.  (back to top)

 

 

If I book a cruise with you, will I be able to access my reservation online to book shore excursions and Palo dining?  Will you help me with those?


Yes, you will have full access to your reservation online.  You can use your confirmation number and lead guest's date of birth to access your reservation.  You can then complete the online check in, book shore excursions, Palo dining and spa treatments.  We will be happy to assist you with any of these arrangements as well!  Only one of us can access your reservation at a time but we will be happy to make these reservations for you as soon as your booking window opens if you would like. Will you take care of my advance dining arrangements for me?  Does that include Cinderella's Royal Table?

Absolutely!  Just give us a list of where you would like to dine and when you would like it booked.  We will take over from there.  This service is included at no additional charge when you book your vacation with us. 
 

Yes, this service does include difficult to obtain restaurants such as Cinderella's Royal table or the Chefs Table at Victoria and Albert's.  We do recommend that for very difficult to obtain arrangements, if it is an event that is very important to you or your child, that you try calling as well.  We would rather you end up with 2 reservations and needing to cancel one than not to get one at all.  MOST of the time we are successful at getting Cinderella's reservations but if your daughter will be in tears if you aren't able to get one, better to be safe than sorry!  (back to top)

 

What if someone in my travel party has special dietary needs?  Will you and Disney be able to take care of that?

Be sure to inform us before we make your dining arrangements if a member of your travel party has special dietary needs.  We will make sure to note this on your reservation so that the restaurant is ready for your needs when you arrive.  If you would like to speak to the chef or a member of the restaurant staff before you arrive to discuss your needs or what options may be available to you, you can find a list of phone numbers for the table service restaurants on Disney property here (back to top)

Will I always deal with the same agent or will my emails and calls be answered by someone different each time?

You will deal with the same agent from the time you request a quote until you leave for your vacation.  The only reason a call or email may be answered by someone different is if you agent is sick or out of town.  If that happens, we will make sure that there is an agent available to you so that we can take care of anything that you need right away.  If your agent is out of town when codes are released, he or she will either be working remotely from where ever they are or they will have made arrangements for someone else to take care of their clients for them.  If there is a particular agent you would like to work with, you may either contact them directly or let us know on the request a quote form!   (back to top)

 

How will I get in touch with my agent?

If I book a moderate resort now but I know I will want a deluxe resort if I can get a discount, can you take care of that for me or do I have to call and tell you to do it?

Absolutely!  This is no problem at all!  If you have an "upgrade wish" or if we are unable to book your first choice and you want us to keep checking for availability, just let your agent know!  We will do everything we can to get you in to your first choice resort!   (back to top)

 

Can you give me an idea of what the annual passholder discounts have been like in the past?

It is important that you understand that AP rates fluctuate from year to year and season to season depending on the rate at which rooms are filling up.  Just because last year's rate was $49 for the same travel dates you are planning this year does not mean you should expect to pay $49 for the same room this year.  Budgeting based on past codes can lead to disappointment when the codes are  released for your travel dates.  It is looking like discounted rates for 2008 will be higher than in past years due to the success of the Magic Your Way ticket structure and the Year of a Million Dreams.  With this understanding, you can check out past code rates on our Historical AP Rate page.  We do not have information for all dates but we will be updating and filling in the gaps as we find the information. What are the cancellation fees?  change fees?

For most reservations, Magical Memories Travel does not have cancellation or change fees other than those charged directly by Disney.  The only exception may be for special offers where we have contracted rates with Disney.  With these contracted rates, our contract with Disney may obligate the agency even if you cancel outside of Disney's typical cancellation period.  If this applies to your reservation, you will always be notified of this  before  a deposit is taken for your reservation.  Please note that Magic Your Way Vacation Packages will never have a cancellation fee imposed by Magical Memories Travel.  The only fees that will apply are those assessed by the Walt Disney Travel Company.

 

For room only reservations you are required to place a deposit equal to one night's rate plus tax in order to secure your room.  The remaining balance is due at check in.  Should you need to cancel your vacation, there is no penalty for canceling as long as you do so 5 or more days before your arrival.  For cancellations less than 5 days prior to arrival, a $100 cancellation fee will be assessed.  There are no change fees on room only reservations.  Your deposit is fully transferable to a new reservation should you need to reschedule  These are Disney's cancellation policies and fees, no additional fees will be assessed by Magical Memories Travel.

 

For vacation packages, a deposit of $200 is required to hold your room.  The remaining balance is due 45 days before your travel begins.  For cancellations from 5 to 45 days prior to your arrival, a $100 cancellation fee will be charged.  A $200 cancellation fee applies if you cancel less than 5 days before arrival.  Vacation packages must be paid in full 45 days before your arrival.  If you make a change to your reservation less than 45 days before arrival that results in a change of price (such as applying a discount code, adding the dining plan, changing resorts or adding/dropping days), a $50 change fee will be assessed.   Your deposit is fully transferable to a new reservation should you need to reschedule  These are Disney's cancellation policies and fees, no additional fees will be assessed by Magical Memories Travel. If I book my room with you am I guaranteed to get the discounts when and if they are released?

No, no one can guarantee you availability of discounts on the room you have booked.  What we can guarantee is that we will do our best to secure you the reduced rates.  We do have an outstanding success rate for applying codes to existing reservations.  In 2007 we were able to secure discounts at the same resort and room category for more than 90% of our clients when a new discount was released.  The remaining 10% were able to get discounts however they may have had to make changes to their resort or room category to qualify for the discounted rate. Can you book off property hotels for me too?

Yes.  We will be happy to make any travel arrangements you may need no matter where the location.  We will treat your reservation with the same care and attention as our "on site" bookings. (back to top)

 

I already have a reservation but I would still like to use your services.  Is this possible?

As long as your reservation is for travel that you booked yourself, we will be happy to take over your reservation.  Please use  for our reservation transfer form.  We will email or fax you the paperwork required to change over your reservation.  Out of professional courtesy we will not assume management of a booking you made through a different travel agent.   (back to top)
 

How long should it take to receive a quote response back after filling out the online form?
It is our goal to respond to all quote requests within 48.  Depending on the complexity of your request and the volume of requests we have received, it may take longer.  Quotes are received by a member of our administrative team and are assigned to an available agent.  If you do not hear from us with a welcome email or official quote within 48 hours of your request, please email us at quotes@magicalmemoriestravel.com and let us know.  The administrative team will then locate an agent who is available to respond as soon as possible.  If for any reason we anticipate a response time of more than 48 hours, the admin team will notify you of what to expect.
